NECA provides a range of resources and specialist advice to assist businesses address workplace health and safety issues. These include; safe work methods, toolbox talks, management plans, policies, procedures and an industry specific HSEQ manual, with accompanying Employee Guide to Safety and Hazard/Risk Identification booklets, which meets legislative requirements.

Our Technical Knowledge Base, or TKB, is an online searchable database of Australian Standards, guidelines, Service & Installation Rules, codes of practice, legislation, alerts and updates, and more, tailored to the electrical, communications, refrigeration and air conditioning industries in SA and NT. NECA SA/NT members can receive up to 10 logins (or as many as their membership category allows, whichever is less) to the TKB.

NECA, in association with allied training partners, have developed a range of training programs which have been specifically designed for the electrical contracting industry and are provided at discount rates to members.

Programs have a practical focus, so new skills can be applied immediately and cover a range of areas including: business management, estimating and contracting, WH&S, specialist technical, rescue and resuscitation courses, and many more.

NECA also run workshops and seminars to assist members with topical issues in the industry.

NECA has the resources and expertise to help you operate your business more efficiently and profitably through the provision of information, assistance and documentation including:

The NECA Excellence Awards are open to nominations in each state, with state winners automatically entered into the National Awards held in November each year. These awards recognise the electrical and communications contractors and their projects in Australia each year.

The annual NECA Apprentice of the Year Awards recognise the best and brightest aspiring talent in the electrotechnology industry. State winners are eligible to enter the National Awards. Apprentice receive great prizes and are presented with great opportunities to excel in their career.
